UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS Below is a listing of majors, degree programs, and minors available at AICAD colleges on the undergraduate level. While we try to keep this list as accurate as possible, for the most accurate information you are advised to review the catalogs of the colleges in which you are interested. Upper case letters (A, C, D, B, P) indicate that a major is available on the undergraduate level (two year Associate degree, one to four year Certificate or Diploma, four year or more Bachelors degree, or one year Postbaccalaureate certificate respectively). Lower case letters (a, c, d, b) indicate that a minor, concentration, or area of emphasis, is available at the undergraduate level within the degree programs mentioned above. You will see below a wide variety of names used by colleges to designate their programs. In some cases we have combined names where they commonly refer to the same fields of study or are so closely allied that separate listings are unnecessary (for example, "ceramics" and "clay," or "industrial design" and "product design"). You are encouraged to look through the entire list to seek out all related areas that interest you. Note also that for convenience some schools designate an entire area as the major ("fine arts" for example), while including related areas (painting, printmaking, etc.) as concentrations within that larger area. In such cases, the fact that a college lists an area as a minor or concentration may not mean that it offers any less work than a college listing that subject as a major. We always suggest reviewing the most recent course catalog for a complete understanding of what is available at each college. Finally, most colleges now utilize computers in nearly all areas of study, but don't always have a separate major such as "computer graphics." In many cases you will find computer work subsumed under larger, related fields such as "graphic design" or media studies And so, again, be safe and read catalogs. If, after reading a catalog, you are still unsure of what is available or how much technlogy factors into a certain area, your best bet is to speak directly with the college's admissions office.
