On Wednesday, February 9th, the co-creators of the Lynda.com tutorial, Information Literacy with Elsa Loftis, were presented the Worldwide Books Award for Electronic Resources by the Art Libraries Society of North America (ARLIS/NA) at an event held in conjunction with the 2017 ARLIS/NA annual conference in New Orleans, Louisiana. The tutorial has had over 121,000 views since its launch in the summer of 2015 and received praise for its practical and clear approach to explaining the research process.

The accompanying photograph depicts the tutorial’s co-creators (from left to right): Jennifer Martinez Wormser (Laguna College of Art and Design), Lauren MacDonald (Saint Mary’s College), Tony White (The Metropolitan Museum of Art), Elsa Loftis (Oregon College of Art and Craft) and Sue Maberry (Otis College of Art and Design).

At the time of the tutorial’s creation, all five members of the team were librarians from independent art and design colleges, collectively represented by the Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design (AICAD).
